In a 15 Sept. press release world experts in electromagnetics cited the problem of the "Precautionary Principle" which continues to be abused in Ireland."The Precautionary Principle shifts the burden of proof from those suspecting a risk to those who discount it', until new scientific discoveries are recognized as the only criterion for the establishment or modification of non-ionizing radiation exposure standards," claims the Porto Alegre Resolution. We, the undersigned, do call on theUKHealth Protection Agency (HPA), UK Government and all the health protec13
tion agencies and governments world-wide, to take note of the findings and recommendations in the Bioinitiative Report (2007) and its predecessors the Benevento Resolution (2006), theCataniaResolution (2002)and the Salzburg Resolution (2000) [4] to immediately reduce the guidelines for exposure to radiofrequency radiation (RF) and extremely low-frequency electromagnetic1 fields. Prof. Olle Johansson of the department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden writes that a number of papers dealing with the effects of modern, man-made electromagnetic fields (EMFs) on the immune system. In Prof. Olle Johansson’s review EMFs disturb immune function through stimulation of various allergic and inflammatory responses, as well as effects
on tissue repair processes. Such disturbances increase the risks for various diseases, including cancer. Click here to read more...
The scientific evidence by Örjan Hallberg & Olle Johansson suggests that the the position in which you normally sleep will affect the side of your body more prone to the dangers of electromagnetic radiation and subsequent cancers. Read more.. Click here to read more...
Through the Environmental Court of Appeal (2005-10-12 case no: M 7485-04) it has now been determined that mobile masts and aerials for 3G constitute an environmentally dangerous activity according to the Environment chapter. Such activity wll therefore have to happen in accordance with the chapter's paragraphs and general consideration rules. Click here to read more...
The Irish population is exposed to more radiation than most of our EU neighbours, receiving the equivalent dose of 200 chest X-rays each year. And a new study says that the amount of radiation we're exposed to is almost 10pc more than previously thought. Click here to read more...
The International Commission for Electromagnetic Safety, a scientific organization composed of concerned scientists worldwide, are issuing an urgent call for more health and safety protections against EMF hazards. The Venice Resolution was initially signed by forty-seven scientists, each who are in the forefront of their respective professional disciplines in conducting research on electromagnetic fields and health. The scientists state that recent epidemiological evidence on adverse effects of EMF is stronger than before and, they take exception to the claim of the wireless communication industry that there is no credible scientific evidence to conclude there a risk. Out of great concern for the health of our fellow human beings do we - as established physicians of all fields, especially that of environmental medicine - turn to the medical establishment and those in public health and political domains, as well as to the public. We have observed, in recent years, a dramatic rise in severe and chronic diseases among our patients, especially: Click here to read more...
